Description: Mobility Study for the Irbid IPP Combined Cycle Gas Turbine Power Plant in Mafraq, assessing traffic impacts for both operational and construction phases of the facility and its 400 kV substation.
The CCGT Power Plant Development project involves the development of the Irbid IPP Combined Cycle Power Plant in Mafraq to support the growing electricity demand in Jordan. The development includes a 3x3x1 combined cycle gas turbine power plant, temporary facilities, and a 400 kV substation within an integrated site layout designed to ensure operational efficiency, safe accessibility, and compatibility with surrounding infrastructure. The facility is designed to operate using both fuel gas and gas oil. Commissioned by Eco for Etihad Water & Electricity, our team prepared a comprehensive Mobility Study assessing existing traffic conditions, projected traffic demand, construction traffic impacts, and operational performance of surrounding road links and intersections. The assignment also included stakeholder coordination and support in securing the required approvals. The study assessed the transportation impacts of both the operational and construction phases of the project and provided engineering recommendations and Traffic Management measures to improve traffic operations, accessibility, and road safety within the project area.
