Project Overview

The Special Integrated Logistics Zone (SILZ) is a major logistics development located in Riyadh, adjacent to King Khalid International Airport, developed as part of the Riyadh Integrated Program Special Economic Zone. Our team was appointed to conduct a comprehensive Traffic Impact Study for Packages 1 and 2 to evaluate the effects of proposed road additions, gate redesigns, and new employee access points. Using advanced traffic simulation and modelling tools including Vissim and Synchro, the team analyzed network performance, assessed traffic flow impacts, and developed optimized access management solutions. The study provided data-driven recommendations that reduced congestion risks, improved gate efficiency, and ensured smooth circulation within the 3.0 million m² logistics hub.
